Audition Requirements

Wind Ensemble Minimum Playing Requirements:

• 12 major scales(1 octave minimum)
•   Must be played from memory
•   Chromatic (1 octave minimum )
• 2.5-minute time limit
• Played in the Circle of 4ths, beginning with Concert C
• 5 points per complete octave
• Sight Reading

• Prepared Etude( See Below PDF) 

Symphonic Band  Minimum Playing Requirements:

•   Memorization is not required

• Sight Reading

ShowBand Of The South  Minimum Playing Requirements:\

ShowBand Audition is ONLY FOR STUDENTS WHO DO NOT AUDITION FOR AN ENSEMBLE 

• 4 major scales (1 octave minimum)
•   Memorization is not required For Scales
•  National Anthem Must be played from memory
• Tate Alma Mater  Must be played from memory
